Query 2XLS

Query2XLS is a reporting tool that allows Fortis query results data to be automatically ported into an Excel workbook. A user simply selects CTRL+L while a Fortis query results screen is present and all metadata is properly formatted and placed into an Excel workbook. Each document type tab within the Fortis query results will have a separate sheet within the Excel workbook.

Fortis typically is used as a registration point within a business process. Fortis stores critical data that is needed for reporting purposes such as: A/R companies that require a report of all outstanding invoices and associated data within a certain date range for collection purposes.

Within ANY Fortis query results screen the user selects the rows they want exported to Excel and hits CTRL+L - this hot-key then launches the Query2XLS application and thru a DDE middleware process takes all data from each Fortis column and ports it into Microsoft Excel. The application ensures the proper data type (i.e., Fortis date field = Excel date field) value being passed to Excel. The workbook is not automatically saved and waits for the user to provide a storage location for the Excel workbook.
